Beverly’s professional career has focused extensively on the educational promise and realities of museums and the potential for building formal and informal learning networks throughout our communities. At ILI, she is deeply committed to using the results of research and evaluation to transform the institutions they serve. Beverly was Acting Director and Deputy Director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (ILMS) in Washington DC from 1998-2002. Her career also included four years as President and CEO of Old Sturbridge Village, and Associate Director of Chester County Historical Society. She writes extensively about museum practices and is co-author with John H. Falk of Thriving in a Knowledge Age: New Business Models for Museums and Other Cultural Institutions and editor of two books on best practices in museum and school partnerships.
